Rally of Otago

The Rally of Otago is the first round of the New Zealand Rally Championship. This component of the event features New Zealand’s leading competitors in modern, state-of-the-art Group N rally cars, the new Open Class along with the exciting ‘Kiwi 2’ 2WD cars.
The event also incorporates the Dunlop International Classic Rally of Otago, for pre-1982, 2WD cars. This event has grown in leaps and bounds since its inception in 1997, to the point where it is the leading event of its type in New Zealand.

2010 Oceania Mountain Bike Championships

Well on the 18th to the 21st March 2010 you can get a chance to compare yourself against the best in Oceania. With the best riders from NZ and Australia competing on Dunedin’s tracks for valuable UCI points, this event is sure to be a spectator’s showcase, or for the more adventurous, you may want to try your skills and compete yourself.
Thursday March 18:
Hillclimb (12:30pm). A race from the bottom to the top of Signal Hill, up the 4WD road. Starts behind Logan Park HS
Dual Slalom (2:00pm) Sets of 2 riders face off with timed runs down two similar short downhill tracks. Signal Hill, behind LPHS.
Friday March 19:
Downhill Practice (9:00am to 12:00pm). 300m descent down Signal Hill. Access from either the top or bottom of Signal Hill.
Four Cross Race (5:00pm) 4 riders race head to head down a wide 700m long downhill course with lots of bumps and jumps. Signal Hill, behind LPHS.
Saturday March 20:
Cross Country. First race at 10:30am and Elite race at 2:00pm. A multi-lap race around Forrester Park and Bethunes Gulley, NEV
Sunday March 21:
Downhill Race Day (11:00am seeding runs, 1:30pm race runs). Signal Hill.
Short Track Cross Country (12:30pm) A multi-lap cross country course where riders try to lap each other out. Signal Hill, behind LPHS.
