The Otago Farmers' Market Trust is a charitable trust which operates the Otago Farmers Market each Saturday morning, with the assistance of staff and volunteers.
Closed Christmas Day and Anzac Day if these are on a Saturday.

Access: Flat site on two levels (car park and station platform), ramp between levels. Toilets available at south end of station and in station foyer. Parking: Railway Station North carpark, off Anzac Ave. Car parks over the railway lines and over the footbridge. Cadbury employess run a carpark off Anzac Ave and a gold coin is charged for charity.
Mid Winter Carnival Lantern Workshops

Every year the public are invited to attend lantern making workshops prior to Carnival night. Almost anyone can make a lantern and its heaps of fun. All materials are provided and trained instructors are on hand. This is a great family activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult. It takes roughly two hours to make a lantern.

Dunedin Midwinter Carnival
Sun, 05/09/2010 | by The Dunedin Difference TeamOn June 26th over 5,000 spectators will swarm Dunedin’s city centre to watch a spectacular Lantern Procession to celebrate the longest night and shortest day.
This year the Lantern Procession, the highlight of the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival, is in its’ 11th year and has a ‘Creatures of the Sea’ theme. Spectators will be enchanted by a glowing stream of over 700 people, 250 hand-made lanterns, 10 giant lanterns, costumed dancers, stilt walkers, musicians, and fire-works.

The New Zealand International Science Festival
