Dunedin Art and Culture Itineraries
For a city of its size, Dunedin is well endowed with artists’ potters’ and sculptors. A climate of creativity nurtures and sustains their talents. Spend time exploring the many galleries and studios scattered throughout the city.
Option #1
- Collect the guide to Arts & Fashion from the Dunedin i-Site
- Wander across the Octagon and explore the newest exhibition at Dunedin Public Art Gallery
- Stroll the streets and visit one of Dunedin's many art galleries – look for local hotspots Temple Gallery, Milford Galleries, Gallery de Novo, and The Artists Room
- Explore the Jewellery Quarter of Dunedin - and meet the jewellers
- Visit the national award winning Otago Museum across the road from the University of Otago
Option #2
- Drive to Broad Bay on the Otago Peninsula and visit Broad Bay China Shop. A must for the china collector or to simply replace a broken piece of china.
- Visit Macandrew Bay and enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour
- Drive to Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens.check out the resident artist and his work at the Potters Cottage
