Dunedin Wildlife

There are not many places that have unique and rare wildlife species on the doorstep of their City. Dunedin is one city that can rightfully lay claim to being a wildlife haven. Just 45 minutes drive from the City centre and you are on the Otago Peninsula which offers so many wildlife choices. You can see the majestic and very large royal albatross with their 3 metre wing span, or while hidden from their view, the very rare and shy yellow eyed penguin. Get close enough to smell the very fishy but cute fur seals or watch the young sea lions playing in the rock pools.

Take a drive on the wild side and enjoy nature at its best.
